Taking care of your tattoo
Remove bandage after 2 hours. Do not re-bandage the tattoo.
Wash your tattoo gently with non scented soap (ie., Dial, Dr. Bronner’s) and warm water. Pat your tattoo dry with a paper towel or let it air dry. (DO NOT SCRUB).
Apply a thin coat of Aquaphor 2x daily for the first 2 days.
On day 3, switch to a fragrance-free body lotion (ie., Aveeno, Lubriderm, Eucerin, or Cetaphil) for 2 weeks.
Do not let your tattoo dry out.
Do not expose the tattoo to sunlight, dirt, swimming pools, hot tubs, tanning beds, or submerge it in water (showers are fine).
Do not pick or scratch your healing tattoo (scabbing is a normal part of the healing process).
Healing takes 2-5 weeks.
